Create Template
The Create Template dialog allows you to save the configuration and disks of an existing virtual machine or a snapshot as a reusable template. This is useful for deploying consistent environments quickly.

Access
You can open the Create Template dialog from two locations:
- Control Center
- Right-click on a virtual machine.
-
Choose Create Template from the context menu.
-
Snapshots Window
- Right-click on a snapshot of a virtual machine.
- Select Create Template to generate a template from that snapshot.
Fields
- Source: The name of the virtual machine being used. This field is auto-filled and cannot be edited.
- Name: Enter a name for your new template. This will appear in the Templates window for future use.
- Notes: Optional field for adding a description or other helpful context about this template.
How It Works
- When you create a template, VirtualProg saves the VM's configuration and associated disk image.
- You can later reuse this template to quickly instantiate new virtual machines with identical settings and disk structure.
