Use this panel to record your virtual machine's display with configurable settings for resolution, frame rate, and more.

Available Options

  • Resolution

    • Auto: Automatically matches the resolution of the virtual machine’s window.
    • Custom: Allows manual entry of Width and Height values for a specific output resolution.

  • Frames

    • Set the number of frames per second (FPS) for the recording. Higher frame rates result in smoother video but larger file sizes.

  • Microphone

    • Optionally include audio from your microphone in the recording.
    • Note: This option is only available when Modern ScreenCapture is enabled in Settings and requires macOS 15 or later.

  • Show Cursor

    • Toggles the inclusion of the mouse pointer in the recording.
    • Note: Only available when Modern ScreenCapture is enabled.

Tip

To ensure all options are available, enable Modern ScreenCapture from the Settings and test access before recording.
